Navy Careers & Required ASVAB Scores
The Navy’s scoring assessment system is slightly different than the other branches. They look at the ASVAB score broken down into subtest scores like the others but do not have generalized groupings that their jobs fit into. The Navy jobs called “ratings” combine the subtests differently for each job and score them accordingly to determine what ratings for which you will be eligible.
Here again are the subtest abbreviations for the ASVAB for easy reference: General Science(GS), Arithmetic Reasoning(AR), Word Knowledge(WK), Paragraph Comprehension(PC), Numerical Operations(NO), Coding Speed(CS), Auto and Shop(AS), Mathematics Knowledge(MK), Mechanical Comprehension(MC), Electronics Information(EI) and Sum of Word Knowledge and Paragraph Comprehension(VE)
